During our current economic downturn, stabilization and recovery, focus must be placed on political candidates backed by the common citizen, not special interest. Special Interest has kept the top echelon, or 2%, protected from common sense taxation for too long. Most people do not know that the national debt and failing social security system, which will have to include universal, strictly universal health care for all citizens, has such an easy solution. Taxing all people just as the common person is taxed, roughly 1/3, would cure our debt issues overnight. Being assured your body and family's bodies are healthy insures you can pursue life, liberty, and property, just as the constitution guarantees. Keeping our boarders and immigration controlled properly is also an important aspect. What can not be cured is ignorance. We must recognize our information is delivered over a very controlled medium. Perhaps the same medium controlled by the same small population of people making over a quarter million in income yearly. I will grant that this number compromises roughly 5% of American citizens. I do not know anyone personally making more than 250k a year, and if I did, I would ask them if the Bush tax cuts really impact their life. Television has replace so many things in the common home. Family communication, self education, participation in government, and focus on loving all of God's creations have been pushed to the way side by mass media. IF YOU FAIL TO PLAN, YOU PLAN TO FAIL. With the advent of such powerful information systems, the future will require all transactions, all correspondence and more to be recorded. Business operates better knowing your buying patterns. Just think to the invention of MPV cards for your grocer. As business of all types recognize the inherent benefits from improved information, life will become more of a record. The energy we use will come from pools of potential energy that not only are renewable, but also clean and efficient. A common observation in the auto industry should give insight into where power will come from and how efficiently it will be used. The majority of the energy produced by a gasoline engine is lost in heat and exhaust. A solar powered battery can move a car with out producing pollution and without wasting energy. Yet, coal is no solution to providing energy. Safer nuclear energy and the proliferation of solar energy advancements will drive our dependence on foreign oil to a minimum. I just ask, after writing this, that you seek to understand potential candidates this November. I just ask if your happy with the way the top few percent of our country has been running things. Up to the historical election of President Obama, our country had never had a leader who represented the people. Our President came from a background unlike any President before him. Our President has accomplished more than any President since John F. Kennedy. I urge you to not join the ranks of the ignorant, the retired, and the lazy. I am unsure of what the Tea Bag people want, but I am sure power will, as always, end up back in the hands of the very few who have all the power, or should I say money. Thank you so much for listening to my opinion and my broad assumptions, and I think you for electing a man who knows the struggle of the poor man trying to make the biggest impact on this old world he or she can. Don't fear being outside the box, being open minded, being able to question the norms or what ever band wagon may come along. And, remember, Bush bailed out his college friends (the Banks) before our current president bailed out the rest of the failures. Our president has declared no bail outs, and it is safe to say no idiot will undermine our Capitalist system again. What I ask is for you to turn off ignorant or unfounded opinions and look to the facts. Having been a statistics student, I am aware you can make numbers lie. So I always fall back on my belief, and that is, you can judge a man's intentions by who is paying for his ride.

How can we help you if we can't help ourself?

I have been reconsidering my passion to better understand the world, and I am happy I ran across your blog. I have been thinking about the state of my country, the U.S.A. I would like to open the window up on this topic as I am afraid so many people are not aware of the situation we are in and what that situation could lead to.
I am really sorry I don't spell words well, but I have never placed very much focus on things that have little relevance. Such as capital letters here or a misspelled word there. I only want to say I know we are all one people. People in the East, Africa and here all hurt and need the same thing. Yet, our country has stopped taking care of itself. Yes, we are no island, man, nor country. (If I start using back-slash for punctuation, forgive me for lack of time to spend editing my talk.) I just hope our country can find a way to take care of our best interest and not forget to help those in need, for we have been so blessed and have so much. I don't want to put this issue out of sight or out of mind/ I want to make sure people know I care about anyone who walks this earth, because we are all just a slate marked with experience. Hat tip to the greats. But, man, I am freaking scared. There is abundant business in complete shambles. Providing jobs or creating a well running business was my goal after obtaining my second college degree. But I really am afraid my area is not the only place in the U.S.A. that is suffering so badly. My classes in college in Florida really bring awareness to the prospect of a bad economy sticking around for a long time. The U.S.A. has been there for so many. The country has done and does great things. But the war in Iraq. Is that even about terrorism any more, or about waste? I know we are getting out of there, but dang, how long do you have to keep learning you can't drive people from their home-land? Vietnam....cough. Sorry. Tickle in my throat. I am really worried about the state or our union and I am afraid we have for got to take care of our self first, because with out that step/ who care. We can't have humanitarian aid efforts. We can't help a damn sole if we don't fix the problems in America. Sorry to wax, but I need to get that out. I am scared. Scared. We have lost touch with how hard we worked to get to be a world power.
